Jalal works in Post Production with a background in visual effects, CG, stop motion animation, color grading and editorial. An honors graduate of the UCSC film and video program Jalal formed his own visual effects and animation company in 2005, where he supervised and produced visual effects and graphics for feature films and commercials.
His clients include Apple TV+, Netflix, Amazon, IFC Films, 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, Lionsgate and Warner Bros Pictures. Jalal has also provided post support for such directors as Dean Fleischer-Camp, Miranda July, Gus Van Sant, Niki Caro, Harrell Fletcher, and Chel White.
In 2021 Jalal completed work as the Post Production Supervisor for the feature film Marcel the Shell with Shoes On directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp where Jalal led workflows in Stop-Motion, Visual Effects, CG and Editorial.
