My mom found this old Dinasaur book of mine and gave it to my nephew. I hope we can all be that stoked about something.

“This wonderfully strange, carefully constructed effort completely entranced me. A brief glimpse into the life of two brothers and their father. Characterizations are left ambivalent enough that it is difficult to pigeon-hole them or form definitive attachments to any particular character. The acting is consistently good throughout, but each of the principal actors also stand out at different moments of the film. Part of that feeling might come from the story line structure which gives each character a key moment to become the key focus in the story. Very nice work with outstanding production values and lush and exceedingly careful cinematographic constructions.”

I just completed work on the Thom Yorke music video, Harrowndown Hill. The video used a technique called Smallgantics™ developed by Jim Clark at Bent Image Lab. I was given the roll of lead compositor and helped them finalize their smallgantics™ Technique. It’s a great video. Watch the Video Here

“A video which appeared to be going in the direction of slapstick, but ultimately expressed a very tragic loss and extreme loneliness caused by the inability to communicate—mostly because those approached and asked to answer the question “can you tell me where Center Street is” either want something from the main character, are too impatient to really try to understand him, or make snap judgment/projections as to who he is and what he wants. Reminded me a bit of Carpenter’s “Starman” in that respect. A quite touching video. Jalal, who was in attendance, mentioned that he likes films where you aren’t sure whether you should be laughing or not. For me, he succeeded wonderfully in capturing that quality.”
